Fold: Service Project
We will carpool from Wyatt Park to the United Way building, leaving by 8:30 a.m. The address is 118 S 7th St., St. Joseph, MO 64506. Our primary project for the day will be preparing 250 United Way ‘New Parent Baby Bags’ to distribute to parents who give birth at Mosaic. Each bag will include a new children’s book, information about local resources for families with young children, and developmental resources like a growth chart and milestone expectations. This project should take about two hours.
Following that, we will partner with Saint Joseph Parks and Recreation to clean up the Nature Center and the Riverwalk. Trash bags, gloves, and grabbers will be provided. The Riverwalk is about 1.5 miles long, and we expect to finish the cleanup quickly. A sack lunch will be provided.
After all the hard work, we’ll finish the day with a movie night and bonfire at the Parmer’s house at 6 p.m.
