Wyatt Park
missions
As part of our church’s mission, Wyatt Park Baptist Church aims to evangelize the lost through faithful witness and to exhibit godliness through a Christ-like presence in our community and throughout the world. We are called by Jesus Himself to reach people outside our church with the good news of Christ’s salvation.
Highlighting our missions
Mission Moments
We are thrilled to introduce a new initiative at Wyatt Park Baptist Church called Mission Moments. Starting this month, one Sunday a month will be dedicated to highlighting the incredible missions we support. During these Sundays, we’ll hear inspiring updates, stories of transformation, and encouraging news from the mission partners and ministries that are making a tangible difference in the world.
This initiative is an opportunity for us to come together as a congregation and celebrate the work God is doing through our support. On these special Sundays, we will also provide a focused chance to give directly to these missions through our online giving platform. Whether it’s local outreach or global impact, your generosity will continue to help these ministries thrive and expand their reach.
We hope that Mission Moment not only informs but inspires, reminding us of our shared calling to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world. Stay tuned for our first highlight and come prepared to be encouraged by the stories of lives being changed. Together, let’s celebrate and support the incredible mission work God has called us to be a part of!

Local Missions
At Wyatt Park Baptist Church, we are honored to support several impactful local missions that make a difference in our community.
The St. Joseph Pregnancy Resource Center offers compassionate support and resources to individuals facing unplanned pregnancies. Their work includes free ultrasounds, parenting classes, and practical assistance to ensure every life is valued and cared for. (stjosephprc.org)
Pivotal Point provides transitional housing and life-skills programs to help individuals and families achieve long-term stability. Their Christ-centered approach equips participants to break the cycle of homelessness and thrive independently. (pivotal-point.org)
Christian Challenge ministers to students at Missouri Western State University, helping them grow in faith and develop meaningful relationships. Through Bible studies, worship, and outreach, this ministry shapes the next generation of Christ-followers. (mwsuchristianchallenge.org)
Our prison ministry reaches those behind bars with the hope of Christ by providing books like Dr. David Jeremiah’s A Life Beyond Amazing. These resources encourage spiritual growth and transformation for inmates seeking a new path in life.
Additional Local Ministries:
- Supporting the SBC Cooperative to advance Gospel efforts locally and nationally.
- Partnering with the Missouri Western State University Food Pantry to address student hunger.
- Providing teacher care packages and sponsoring meals for staff during parent-teacher conferences at Oak Grove Elementary through their PTA.
These local missions reflect our commitment to serving our community with love and sharing the hope of Christ in practical and meaningful ways.
Where we’ve been
Ecuador in ’24
Wow! What an amazing experience. Our trip to Ecuador this January exceeded any sort of expectations we had. Emmaus Global Missions did a wonderful job organizing every aspect of our trip. Our food, travel, stay, and activities were, while staying flexible, always taken care of without any sort of confusion.
The people we got to share the Gospel with were amazing. Pastor Freddy, a local baptist pastor in Patate, Ecuador, had people all around the city looking forward to speaking to us about what it means to believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Javy and Evelyn did an amazing job at supporting us and keeping us hopeful in these new experiences for us. Our translators also did a great job at picking up when we may have needed help, or finding a new way to describe what we were trying to say.
We were able to witness 25 people come to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Which is a mind-boggling number. One of the best things about that number, is that we aren’t just leaving them to grow in their faith alone. Javy and Evelyn are able to plug them in to local churches while also provide study oppritunities for those who aren’t in an area with a church they can visit frequently.
